At Hawk, Rock, and Barrel, we believe that wine is a gift from nature that we get to share with friends, family, and neighbors.  Throughout history, poets, scholars, and philosophers have written about wine and its place in our world.  The beauty of the vineyard, the character of the land, the flavor of the fruit… all contribute to the mystique of a great vintage.  As a winemaker, you get to pour your heart and soul into a bottle that someone is going to open at a dinner party with old friends, to celebrate their child’s college graduation, or to welcome home family whom they haven’t seen for a while.   It’s an awesome responsibility and one that we take very seriously.

We want to make a world class Cabernet Sauvignon blend, and believe that the art of wine making is something that is as intricate as it is delicate.  From the choice of the barrel type to the blend composition, it is a complex mix of art and science that is both challenging and rewarding.  We hope that the folks who try our wines will love them as much as we do.
